Miles-Richardson elected President of CEPH



Stephanie Miles-Richardson, DVM, Ph.D. was elected President of the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health, and public health programs outside schools of public health.
Dr. Miles-Richardson, Professor in the Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) in Atlanta, GA, currently serves as Associate Dean of Graduate Education in Public Health and Director of the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at MSM. 
Dr. Miles-Richardson is the first African American CEPH President and the first from an HBCU.
After graduating from GSU, Dr. Miles-Richardson earned two doctoral degrees: a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Tuskegee University in Alabama and a dual Ph.D. in Pathology/Environmental Toxicology from Michigan State University.

Dr. Miles-Richardson is immediate Past President of the Association of Public Health Programs, another organization for which she was the first female and first African American President. She is also immediate Past President of the Tuskegee Veterinary Medical Alumni Association. Dr. Miles-Richardson is a member of the Tau Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Berean Christian Church, both in Stone Mountain, GA.
